Yesterday my visa and passport arrived back to me. I know its corny but I had to look at it like every 20 minutes last night. I guess I'm just really excited about going on this trip. It was really cool because they glued it into my passport and it has a picture of the great wall. It sorta looked like a piece of money to me. I found a stock photo of a Chinese Visa which I put above. Obviously it's not mine but thats what mine looks like.
I leave for China 6 days from today. I honestly feel a little overwhelmed with everything I feel like I need to get done. It's the little things like mowing your grass, washing clothes, making sure you have enough clothes to take, and paying all the bills so nothing is late. I've been trying to wait till the last possible minute to mow my grass and it's beginning to look bad. Also, trying to get all my business affairs organized and passed off has been consuming a lot of my time because I want to make sure everyone is properly taken care of while I'm gone.
I usually eat chinese food once or twice a week. I don't think I'll eat any this week though. Speaking of food, I'm trying to figure out what I want to eat right before I get on the plane to Hong Kong. I fly from Detroit to Hong Kong and DTW has a Fuddruckers which I think I'm heavily leaning towards. I can't think of anything more American than a Hamburger. Last time I was there I checked their Tex Mex place out and I'm glad I did because it was terrible. That would have been disappointing to leave the country on that meal.
Anyways, I'm going to have a great time and this will be a great experience. I can't wait to start posting pictures and my thoughts about the trip.
